Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart target Nazinho of Cercle Brugge is currently seen as too expensive.
The Swabians have been linked to the Portuguese under-21 international as a backup option for Maximilian Mittelstädt, and have already held talks with the player’s representatives.
However, Cercle are currently demanding €6-8m, who has played 22 times, scoring three and assisting four. The current fee is seen as too expensive for Stuttgart.
Behind Mittelstädt, who is one of the best left-backs in the league, Sebastian Hoeneß does not have a recognised left-back. Natural centre-back Ramon Hendriks is usually used as the back-up option.
Considering that VfB are looking to compete on multiple fronts in the future, it would make sense to buy a left-back in the summer. Add to this, there are consistent rumours about the future of Mittelstädt, with Italian media most recently linking him with a move to defending champions Napoli.
