Everton rule out summer exit for Iliman Ndiaye

Everton are likely to rule out a sale of star man Iliman Ndiaye amid growing interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.

According to Football Insider, Everton are eager to keep hold of Iliman Ndiaye beyond the summer and could potentially rule out an exit. Arsenal and Manchester United are among the Senegal international’s admirers, but the Toffees could make him the centrepiece of their plans for the immediate future.

Everton are likely to face a fight ahead of the summer in their bid to keep their best players. The Toffees do have a handful of top-performing stars, including Iliman Ndiaye, with the Senegal international already attracting plenty of interest in the market.

Ndiaye has been a bright performer under David Moyes this season and the last, with the Senegal international playing a key role in the absence of Jack Grealish. Everton has secured a contract for the player until 2029, which will give them leeway in any negotiations for his sale, something they are not planning at the moment.

Arsenal are interested in Ndiaye, although the admiration is not considered serious as things stand. The Gunners are looking for a left-sided attacker for their squad, and despite Ndiaye’s ability to operate on that side, he is predominantly a right winger, an area Mikel Arteta has plenty of options in as things stand.

Manchester United were seen as a leading candidate for Ndiaye, and have held an interest for a while in the 26-year-old Everton trickster. The Red Devils are planning on adding a high-profile attacker in the summer, with some other names also present on their list, with the Senegal international certainly a part of it.

Everton to Keep Iliman Ndiaye?

Everton will demand a significant price to sell Ndiaye, but the club are not planning on offloading the 26-year-old ahead of the summer. In fact, the Toffees are planning strategic additions to the side alongside keeping hold of the winger, as Moyes wants a squad capable enough to push for a European spot.

Whether their planning convinces Ndiaye remains to be seen, although Everton are the party in the stronger position when it comes to the 26-year-old’s future. The likes of Arsenal and Manchester United will make approaches if they are serious about the Senegal international, but will face resistance from Everton as they plan on keeping him.
