Juni Calafat pushing Real Madrid to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi

Real Madrid chief scout Juni Calafat is reportedly pushing the club to sign LOSC Lille midfield sensation Ayyoub Bouaddi.

According to a report from Fichajes, Juni Calafat wants Ayyoub Bouaddi at Real Madrid. He is pushing the Spanish giants to beat Liverpool and Manchester United to the signature of the LOSC Lille midfielder.

While Real Madrid already have a star-studded squad, they are always on the lookout for players who can further bolster it or players that can help them in the long run. The Merengues have identified a French gem who could become one of the pillars of their team going forward. So, having failed to fill the void of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, Bouaddi can be their long-term successor.

Los Blancos are keen on signing Ayyoub Bouaddi, who has had a meteoric rise at LOSC Lille. While he is only 18, the French youth international is already one of the mainstays at the club. The central midfielder has racked up 90 first-team appearances and also has four assists to his name.

Bouaddi could be heading to Real Madrid

While he prefers playing as a number eight, Bouaddi is comfortable enough in a holding role as well as a right-back. The Frenchman’s technical ability, vision and the maturity that he has shown on the pitch have impressed Juni Calafat, who now wants him at Real Madrid.

The Spanish club’s chief scout has asked Florentino Perez to do everything he can to beat Manchester United and Liverpool to his signature. Lille have extended his contract until 2029 in hopes of keeping hold of him, but interested clubs might still end up prising him away.

Calafat has been keeping tabs on the 18-year-old for months, and since he is a perfect fit for the club, he is pushing Real Madrid to secure his services. Manchester United and Liverpool have also been scouting him. The youngster could become one of the cornerstones of the new project at Old Trafford, while he could further strengthen the midfield rotation at Anfield.

While all three clubs are keen on his signature, Lille are in complete control of his future. Ideally, they would like to have him around for another season. However, a significant financial offer could change things up.
