Bayern Munich rival Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle United in Christian Kofane race

Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United will provide stiff competition to Bayern Munich in their pursuit of Christian Kofane.

Cameroonian teenage attacking sensation Christian Kofane has taken his game to the next level since joining Bayer Leverkusen, and his performances have placed him on the radar of multiple top clubs from across Europe.

According to a report from Fichajes, Bayern Munich are keen on his signature, and they are set to battle Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle United for the 19-year-old striker.

On the back of an impressive rise at Albacete, Bayer Leverkusen secured Kofane’s services last summer in a deal worth around €5 million. Since joining the German outfit, the teenager has been involved in 39 matches. While he has racked up fewer than 1,800 minutes, the 19-year-old has 15 goal contributions.

Despite his tender age, he has shown a lot of maturity, and his massive potential has attracted a lot of interest. While his contract runs until 2029, multiple clubs are gearing up to try to prise him away.

Bayern want Kofane in their ranks

Leverkusen’s domestic rivals Bayern Munich have their eyes set on the teenager. They want to bring in a new striker who can compete with Harry Kane and replace the English international in the long run. They consider Kofane an ideal fit for their setup.

The youngster agent Eric Depolo has confirmed Bayern’s interest in his services. Leverkusen have slapped a massive €60-70 million price tag on the teenager, making things very difficult for the Bundesliga giants.

Premier League clubs to rival Bayern Munich

While they have a concrete interest in the teenager, Bayern might have to battle Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle to sign Albacete graduate. The London clubs might have an advantage in the race because of their financial strength.

With Liam Delap’s move not working out, Kofane could take his place at Chelsea. Meanwhile, the Gunners want someone who can support as well as compete with Viktor Gyokeres. While the Magpies did sign Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade to fill the void left by Alexander Isak, they could still be in the market for a new striker.

Investing in Kofane could help them both in the short and the long run. Given the competition for his signature, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
