Lennart Karl secured Bayern Munich a dramatic comeback win over Freiburg after coming back from two-goals down to extend their lead at the Bundesliga summit.
Tom Bischof scored a brace before Karl struck in the ninth minute of stoppage time to secure Vincent Kompany’s charges all three points.
“I’m very happy. It’s an unbelievable feeling,” said Karl (h/t: iMiaSanMia). “I’ve always had it in my mind to score a late winner and take off my shirt. Thankfully it worked out, an incredible feeling. I had a bit of a feeling that I was going to score today. It happened and it was perfect.”
In doing so, Bayern have reached 100 Bundesliga goals in 2025/26, meaning they are only one goal away from equaling the 101 goal record from the Bundesliga 1971/72 season, which was also a season that saw Gerd Müller set the old 40 goal a season record.
