Chelsea rule out summer move for Vinicius Junior

Liam Rosenior’s Chelsea will not be making a move for Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior this summer.

According to a report from Fichajes, Chelsea have ruled out a summer move for Vinicius Junior. Despite being one of the best forwards in the world, Real Madrid could end up sanctioning the departure of the Brazilian international. However, it seems there is a shortage of interest in their number 7.

Vinicius arrived at the Bernabeu as a teenager with massive potential from Flamengo. While adapting to Spanish football wasn’t that easy for the Brazilian, he worked hard to establish himself as a key figure in the team.

He has only gone from strength to strength over the years and has done wonders for them. The 25-year-old has helped them win three La Liga titles and two Champions League titles. Vinicius stands out with his electric pace, dribbling and goal-scoring abilities.

Despite being a very important part of the Real Madrid setup, his future has been a massive talking point of late. While he has 17 goals and 14 assists in his 47 outings this term, Los Blancos are not entirely pleased with his performances, as he has failed to deliver in the big games.

Moreover, his contract situation is complicating things. He will only have a year left on his deal in the summer. While Real Madrid have already put forward a renewal offer, that offer doesn’t meet the player’s demands.

The team in white have no intentions of putting forward an improved offer. They do want him to renew his terms. However, if they fail to secure a deal before the summer transfer window opens, Real Madrid could then look to cash in on him. They do not want to risk a situation where one of their most valuable assets ends up leaving for free.

Chelsea have no intentions of signing Vinicius

While they are ready to listen to offers, there is a lack of interest in the Brazilian forward. Chelsea, who have significant financial strength, have been linked with the 25-year-old of late. They are always on the lookout for more quality, and Vinicius could be a great upgrade on the left flank.

However, the Blues have already ruled out a move for Vinicius. They have no intentions of making an offer for the Real Madrid winger. The London club will instead focus on players who they feel are a better fit for their setup. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see if the player’s representatives can bring in an attractive offer when the window finally opens.
