According to Foot Mercato, Marseille sporting coordinator Bob Tahri allegedly acted as a “facilitator” for organising private evenings involving Olympique de Marseille players and “female company” during the club’s training camps.
The outlet claims that such gatherings took place during OM’s stays in Marbella and Rome, with Tahri reportedly viewed by some players as someone capable of arranging nights out away from the training ground.
However, Foot Mercato adds that Tahri’s relationship with the dressing room later deteriorated significantly, with several players allegedly accusing the senior club figure of playing a “double game” behind the scenes.
The report claims some Marseille players ultimately came to believe Tahri was simultaneously attempting to undermine them internally, leading to growing distrust within the squad. Relations allegedly became so strained that certain players stopped acknowledging Tahri altogether at La Commanderie.
The latest allegations arrive amid increasing scrutiny surrounding Marseille’s internal environment. Earlier this week, L’Équipe reported that an anonymous collective of OM employees had sent a complaint to the club’s hierarchy accusing Tahri of contributing to a toxic workplace culture marked by paranoia and intimidation.
Marseille have since confirmed that the club’s HR department has launched an internal investigation into the allegations raised.
