FC Nantes are reported to have reached an agreement with Amedspor, newly promoted to the Süper Lig, regarding the transfer of Alban Lafont (27), according to L’Équipe.
On loan last season at Panathinaikos, where he made 37 appearances and kept 13 clean sheets, the Ivorian goalkeeper is set to embark on a new chapter in his career. Although his contract with Les Canaris runs until 2027, Lafont is reportedly preparing to head to Turkey in a deal estimated to be worth around €1m.
A product of the Toulouse FC academy, the native of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, joined Nantes in 2019, having been loaned out and then sold permanently by ACF Fiorentina. During his seven-year spell, Lafont made nearly 200 appearances for the Breton club, won the 2022 Coupe de France and captained the side in the Europa League.
An Ivory Coast international since October 2025, his performances in Greece have earned him a place in the squad selected by Emerse Faé for the World Cup in the United States, as the backup to Yahia Fofana (25).
