Crystal Palace, Fulham vying for Danny Rohl

Crystal Palace and Fulham are eager to explore a move for Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl as they face uncertainties with their current managers.

According to Philipp Hinze, Danny Rohl is attracting big interest from established Premier League sides ahead of the summer. Fulham and Crystal Palace are keen on the Sheffield Wednesday manager, who has a modest release clause in his contract.

The summer window promises a few managerial changes among established Premier League teams, as Tottenham could play a central role in this saga. Spurs are expected to sack Ange Postecoglou irrespective of what transpires in their Europa League campaign, as there’s a big chance for the Australian to depart even if they win the European competition.

Tottenham have a few names on their list including Fulham’s Marco Silva and Crystal Palace’s Oliver Glasner among others. Starting with the Cottagers’ boss, reports stated he could be open to the challenge with Spurs as he might have a release clause in the contract that lasts until 2026.

Fulham are eager to keep him and ready to open contract talks, but should Tottenham come up with an offer then things could change drastically. The situation with Spurs’ chase of Glasner is quite different, as no reports have stated the Austrian is open to a departure.

Palace are also eager to keep him and offer a new deal, although they must plan for contingencies in case of something drastic in the summer. Spurs are generally an attractive club, one of the biggest in London which would entice either of those managers to make the switch. Now, Palace and Fulham are keeping their options open and target Sheffield Wednesday’s Danny Rohl as a potential target among others.

Danny Rohl a target for Crytal Palace and Fulham

Danny Rohl the 36-year-old highly-rated Championship manager, has been impressive with Sheffield Wednesday. He could leave the club if a big offer arrives on his table, as there is a release clause of a modest few million pounds in his deal.

On paper, for established Premier League sides like Fulham and Crystal Palace, it might represent a bit of a risk to appoint the 36-year-old highly-rated Championship manager. However, he might be one of the names among others, although it would be interesting to see Rohl in the top flight if a move to either club materialises. Still, he has interest from recently relegated sides like Southampton and Leicester City too.
