According to a report by TEAMtalk, Harvey Elliott is the subject of interest from Nottingham Forest. The Tricky Trees are scouring the market for a young playmaker heading into the summer transfer window. So, Liverpool prospect Harvey Elliott and Manchester City whizkid James McAtee have emerged as targets for the high-flying Premier League club.
Harvey Elliott has been one of the most highly-rated young prospects in the Premier League for over half a dozen years. A native of London, the Englishman spent his formative years in his home city, starting his youth career with Queens Park Rangers before graduating from the well-known academy at Fulham.
The 22-year-old rose in prominence in the 2018/19 season after breaking into the first-team squad at Fulham, compelling Liverpool to secure his services in July 2019. Since then, Elliott has come leaps and bounds, although he has yet to become a regular in the middle of the park for the Merseyside outfit.
The English playmaking prospect has not even completed 1,000 minutes of game time across 26 appearances in all competitions thus far in the 2024/25 season while chipping in with four goals and two assists. However, the Liverpool midfielder’s stock in the market is high, with Nottingham Forest among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.
Nottingham Forest’s interest in Harvey Elliott is understandable. The Tricky Trees are scouring the market for a productive midfielder heading into the summer transfer window as they prepare for an adventure in a European competition next season. In addition, the Premier League high-flyers are in a spot of bother over Morgan Gibbs-White’s long-term future.
The English international is a target for Manchester City, with the Citizens keen on signing him as a long-term replacement for Kevin De Bruyne. So, Elliott has emerged as a viable target, with Nottingham Forest also considering James McAtee as an option to reinforce the creative unit.
However, Nottingham Forest might not be the only club pursuing Elliott’s signature, with other Premier League clubs also vying for his services. So, it will be interesting to see what the future has in store for the frustrating Liverpool playmaker heading into the summer transfer window.
