Real Madrid make offer to Dean Huijsen, proposal accepted by Bournemouth as player’s camp lands in Spain

Real Madrid are reportedly closing in on signing Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool defensive target Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid appear to be winning the race for Dean Huijsen’s signature, having already submitted an offer for the Spanish centre-back. Bournemouth have accepted the proposal, and the player’s camp has travelled to Madrid to finalise the details of a potential move.

While things did not work out for Huijsen at Juventus, the move to the Premier League outfit has done wonders for him. He joined the Cherries last summer and has enjoyed an exceptional debut campaign. The youngster has been involved in a total of 34 matches across competitions, and he has even contributed towards four goals.

His consistent performances in the heart of the defence have put him on the radar of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. All three clubs seek more quality at the back, and they are keen on signing the Spanish international.

With Jakub Kiwior’s future uncertain, Dean Huijsen could take his place in the Gunners’ squad. Meanwhile, the Blues are looking to add more quality and depth at the back, and the 20-year-old is seen as an ideal fit for their project, which centres around signing young talents with high potential.

While the Reds have managed to tie Virgil van Dijk to a new deal, they are still in the market for another world-class centre-back. They want to sign a young star, who can eventually take over from the Dutch star. Dean Huijsen certainly fits the bill.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid have been working on a potential transfer in recent days, and they are within touching distance of his signature. All three Premier League clubs want to sign him and they are watching from the sidelines hoping for an opportunity to enter the race. But it seems Los Blancos have already won the race.

Real Madrid set to win race for Huijsen

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Real Madrid had sent a formal offer to both Bournemouth and Dean Huijsen’s camp on Wednesday. Another report from the Italian transfer expert suggested that the Cherries accepted Real Madrid’s conditions for the deal.

As per the agreement, the £50 million release clause must be paid in full by the end of 2026. With both clubs reaching common ground, the only thing left is the final green light from the player, who has prioritised Madrid from the start.

Another update from Romano suggests the player’s camp has landed in Madrid to finalise the deal. The two parties are currently discussing the length of the contract, with Real Madrid offering a five-year deal. While the £50 million must be paid before 2026, it will be done in three instalments. Once the player’s contract is agreed, Real Madrid can breathe easy, as there is no shortage of interest in the 20-year-old.
