Aston Villa and Napoli keen on Jadon Sancho

Aston Villa and Napoli are both interested in acquiring the services of Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho.

According to Ekrem Konur, Aston Villa and Napoli have their eyes set on Jadon Sancho. Both clubs seek more firepower in the final third and they consider the Manchester United winger an interesting option to bolster their attack.

Sancho made a name for himself at Borussia Dortmund and on the back of his sensational rise, United broke the bank to sign him in the summer of 2021. While a lot was expected from the English international, the move to Old Trafford hasn’t worked out for him.

He has struggled to get going at United and the little success that he has had in the recent past has come while he has been out on loan. After spending the second half of the 2023/24 season at Dortmund, the 25-year-old joined Chelsea on a season-long loan this time around.

He did show a lot of signs of promise during his spell at the London club as he contributed towards 15 goals in his 41 outings. Despite not being a regular starter, he did put in a lot of impressive performances.

While the Blues initially had an obligation to buy and were considering making the move permanent, they have ultimately decided against it. Instead, the London club have chosen to terminate the deal by paying a £5 million fine.

Sancho is set to return to his parent club but he has no future at Old Trafford as he doesn’t have the best of relations with the people at the club. With his deal running out in 2026, they are looking to cash in on him and there is a lot of interest in his signature despite his failed United move.

Multiple top clubs are after Sancho

Aston Villa are one of the clubs that want to sign the 25-year-old. With Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio returning to their parent clubs, Unai Emery’s team certainly need more quality on the flanks and Sancho could prove to be a great addition to their squad.

Meanwhile, Napoli have also added him to their shortlist. The Italian outfit also want more quality on the flanks. They are looking for someone who can help replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who left the club in the last winter window.

Sancho certainly has the qualities to be a top player and he has shown signs of getting back to his best at Chelsea. As a result, the Naples-based club are considering betting on him.

Villa and Napoli are not the only clubs who are keen on his signature as Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, Dortmund, Galatasaray and AC Milan are all keeping a close eye on his situation. While Saudi Pro League clubs could tempt him with a lucrative financial package, other suitors can offer a compelling project and the chance to continue in Europe.
