Manchester United schedule fresh meeting to sign Bryan Mbeumo

Manchester United will hold a new meeting with Brentford to continue the discussions regarding a summer move for 25-year-old Cameroonian international Bryan Mbeumo.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Bryan Mbeumo is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing another versatile attacker in the summer transfer window despite securing the agreement to land Matheus Cunha. So, the Brentford talisman has emerged as a target for the struggling Premier League giants.

The Red Devils have already failed with a bid to sign the French-born winger, with Brentford demanding £60-65 million, including a fixed payment of £50-55 million, to part ways with him. However, Manchester United will soon meet the Bees to discuss a deal for Mbeumo, who wants to move to Old Trafford.

Bryan Mbeumo and his Brentford career so far

Bryan Mbeumo has been like a fish in the water since joining Brentford from ESTAC Troyes in August 2019. The 25-year-old versatile attacker was instrumental in helping the South London outfit secure promotion to the Premier League, and he has been pivotal in the Bees’ bid to retain their top-flight status.

The Cameroonian international was excellent in the 2024/25 season, contributing to 29 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net 20 times and providing nine assists. Meanwhile, Mbeumo’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs, including Manchester United.

Move across the Premier League on the cards?

Manchester United’s interest in Bryan Mbeumo is understandable. The Red Devils have already bolstered their offensive unit by signing Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers. However, they are not done yet, with Mbeumo being the other priority offensive target for Manchester United.

The struggling Premier League giants have already failed with a bid to sign the French-born attacker from Brentford in the summer transfer window. However, with Mbeumo keen on joining Manchester United, the two clubs may not remain apart on valuation for much longer, considering they will soon meet again to discuss the deal.

Brentford will demand a package worth £60-65 million to part ways with Mbeumo, including a fixed payment of £50-55 million. So, it will be interesting to see how the upcoming talks between the two clubs progress as they discuss a move for the 25-year-old Cameroonian international.
