According to Florian Plettenberg, Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race for the signature of Victor Froholdt. The North London club are constantly on the lookout for young players with massive potential and they have found a gem in the Danish international. They are ready to battle Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen for his signature.
Froholdt has come up the ranks at FC Copenhagen. He got promoted to their first team last summer and in his first full season with the senior team, the teenager was involved in a total of 53 matches. He even contributed towards 11 goals.
While he prefers playing as a central midfielder, the 19-year-old did put in some impressive performances on the flanks as well. He even made his debut for the Danish national team earlier in the year and he now looks set for a move to a bigger club.
Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen are two German clubs that are very keen on his signature. Frankfurt are actively pushing to sign the teenage midfield sensation, while Leverkusen have added him to their shortlist. While the Bundesliga outfits are plotting a raid on Copenhagen, they are all set to face competition from Tottenham.
Of late, the North London club have focused on signing young players with massive potential as they look to build a team for the long run. While they have just parted ways with Ange Postecoglou and there is no certainty over who will replace him, Spurs are going to stick to that strategy of signing talented youngsters.
