Arsenal schedule fresh round of talks to sign Benjamin Sesko

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are ready to hold a fresh round of talks as they look to secure the services of Benjamin Sesko.

Arsenal are slowly closing in on the signature of Benjamin Sesko. They have been in talks with his entourage and have also been in contact with RB Leipzig. While they are yet to reach an agreement with the player, the Gunners are quite optimistic about it.

According to Florian Plettenberg, the North London club have already scheduled the next round of talks as they look to reach a full agreement with the Slovenian international. Signing a new striker is a top priority for them and they want Sesko to be the one to lead their line next season.

Sesko made a name for himself at Red Bull Salzburg. He then made the move to sister club RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023 and has only gone from strength to strength since.

There was no shortage of interest in him last summer as well but he decided to continue at the club. He ended up contributing towards 27 goals (21 goals, 6 assists) which has only increased the amount of interest in him.

While he still has four years left on his deal at the club, he could be on the move this summer if the right offer arrives. Arsenal are the ones who are very keen on signing him. Mikel Arteta is not happy with the output of his current forwards.

Arsenal closing in on Sesko’s signature

The Spanish manager wants a world-class striker who can add goals and he has his eyes set on Sesko. The Slovenian has an impressive track record in the final third. More importantly, he is only 22 and could prove to be a great investment in the short as well as the long run.

The Gunners have been working on a potential transfer for some time but they are yet to reach an agreement on personal terms with the player. While they haven’t found a breakthrough yet, Arsenal are confident about striking a deal with Sesko.

They have already scheduled the next round of talks with the 22-year-old as they look to reach a full agreement. Meanwhile, talks with RB Leipzig continue. The Bundesliga outfit are open to a move but they want around €80–100 million. They currently await an official offer from the North London club, who are waiting for the green light from the player.
