So, the Villarreal attacker has emerged as a target for the Merseyside outfit.
The Toffees have made their first move to sign the Frenchman in the summer transfer window, submitting a bid of over €30 million. David Moyes is prioritising signing the Villarreal striker, but with Everton yet to receive a response from Villarreal, they will hope the proposal does the trick.
Thierno Barry has established himself as one of the best young attackers in La Liga since joining Villarreal from FC Basel last summer. A native of Lyon, the 22-year-old striker spent his formative years in France and graduated from the youth division at SC Toulon. However, the youngster has risen in prominence during his spell in La Liga with the Yellow Submarine.
The French striker was excellent in the 2024/25 season, contributing to 23 goals in 41 outings in all competitions for Villarreal and FC Basel by finding the back of the net 19 times and providing four assists. Meanwhile, Barry’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe, including Everton.
