According to a report by Caught Offside, Raoul Bellanova may have a future in the Premier League in the 2025/26 season. Aston Villa, Fulham, and West Ham United are keen on signing the Atalanta wing-back in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the Serie A club will demand around €40 million to part ways with the Italian international.
Raoul Bellanova has established himself as one of the most productive full-backs in Serie A since joining Atalanta from Torino last summer. A native of Rho, the player struggled for stability for most of his professional career after graduating from the fabled youth division at AC Milan. However, he landed on his feet during his spell with Torino before moving across Serie A.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a fruitful campaign with Atalanta in the 2024/25 season, chipping in with one goal and 11 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions. Meanwhile, Bellanova’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, Fulham, and West Ham United.
Aston Villa and West Ham United also wanted to sign the Italian international last summer before the deal failed to see the light of day. Aston Villa’s continued interest is perplexing, considering the West Midlands signed Andres Garcia in the winter transfer window. So, unless they sell a right-back, the Villans do not need another option in the position.
Meanwhile, West Ham United’s interest in Raoul Bellanova is understandable. The Hammers have parted ways with Vladimir Coufal, interestingly a target for Fulham and other Premier League clubs. So, Graham Potter wants the East London club to sign an alternative to Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the Atalanta wing-back an option worth considering.
As for Fulham, Kenny Tete will likely depart from Craven Cottage as a free agent in the summer transfer window. In addition, Timothy Castagne is not good enough to be the undisputed first-choice right-back for the West London club. So, Bellanova is a viable target for Fulham.
Meanwhile, the Atalanta wing-back will not cost a bomb, with the Serie A club demanding around €40 million to part ways with him. So, it will be interesting to see if the 25-year-old Italian international lands in the Premier League in the summer transfer window amid his links with Aston Villa, Fulham, and West Ham United.
