Yaël Nandjou (19) is set to leave his formative club, OGC Nice, upon the expiry of his contract, according to a report from L’Équipe. He is set to join recently promoted Portuguese side Alverca.
Nandjou, who has come through the academy at Nice, made his first-team debut for Le Gym this season. He was one of the many youngsters to benefit from the injury crisis that plagued Franck Haise’s side and left him leaning on the academy, particularly in the UEFA Europa League campaign, which became something of an after-thought.
Nandjou made four appearances in that competition, whilst he also made three appearances in Ligue 1 and one in the Coupe de France. However, despite breaking through, he is not expected to stay. As per L’Équipe, the left-back will leave the club upon the expiry of his deal this summer. The publication understands that he will sign a three-year deal at Alverca, recently promoted to the Portuguese top-flight.
