Yoane Wissa could be on the move this summer as multiple top clubs from across Europe are keen on signing the Brentford mainstay. According to a report from TEAMtalk, Arsenal and Tottenham are ready to battle the likes of Nottingham Forest, Fenerbahce, and Galatasaray for his signature.
Wissa has gone from strength to strength since joining Brentford in the summer of 2021 from FC Lorient. He managed 16 goal contributions in the 2023/24 Premier League season, stepping up during Ivan Toney’s suspension in the first half of the campaign.
Following Toney’s departure last summer, the 28-year-old DR Congo striker elevated his game further, contributing to 24 goals in 35 league appearances in the 2024/25 season. Yoane Wissa ensured Brentford did not feel the absence of their former talisman, and his standout performances have certainly not gone unnoticed.
Nottingham Forest, Tottenham, Arsenal, Fenerbahce, and Galatasaray are all interested in signing Wissa ahead of next season. Given his consistent performances and high demand, Brentford have set a massive price tag of £50 million to sell him.
With his contract running until 2026 and the option to extend it for another 12 months, the Bees are in a very comfortable position with regard to his future, and they are unlikely to lower their demands.
Arsenal and Tottenham are quite keen on signing the 28-year-old. The Gunners are on the lookout for a proven goalscorer as Mikel Arteta looks to take them to the next level, and Yoane Wissa could certainly help their cause. However, they do have other high-profile names on their wishlist.
Meanwhile, former Brentford boss Thomas Frank wants to reunite with Wissa at Spurs. The new Tottenham manager wants more quality in the final third and feels the versatile Wissa could help their cause. But the North London clubs could face competition from Nottingham Forest as well as the Turkish giants, Fenerbahce, and Galatasaray.
The Tricky Trees failed with an attempt back in January, and they are set to reignite their interest. With Taiwo Awoniyi’s future uncertain, Wissa could rival Chris Wood for a place in the starting XI. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce want more quality in the final third and consider the DR Congo striker an ideal fit for their project.
As far as Galatasaray are concerned, they are working on a deal to bring Victor Osimhen back to the club. However, if they fail to do so, they could shift their focus towards the Brentford star. Both Turkish clubs are willing to offer £25.6-27.4 million for Wissa, which is way lower than the £50 million asking price.
