The busy start to the summer being enjoyed by La Liga outfit Espanyol on the transfer front has on Friday continued.
This comes amid confirmation of a fresh addition to Manolo González’s attacking ranks.
The player to have put pen to paper on terms with Espanyol with a view to next season? Kike García.
Veteran frontman García is for his part fresh off terminating his contract with fellow La Liga outfit Deportivo Alavés, with whom he racked up an impressive 15 goals last season.
And as alluded to above, on Friday, the 35-year-old has found for himself a new club.
As per a release across Espanyol’s social media platforms, García has made the move to the RCDE Stadium as a free agent, penning a two-year contract with the Catalans.

García’s arrival at Espanyol comes just 24 hours on from that of Marko Dmitrović, adding to those of Hugo Pérez, Marcos Fernández and Miguel Rubio already this summer.
