Crystal Palace in contact to sign Lamine Camara

Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace have established contact as they look to sign AS Monaco midfield sensation Lamine Camara.

According to a report from AfricaFoot, Crystal Palace are looking to add more quality to their midfield ahead of next season, and they have their eyes set on Lamine Camara. The Eagles have reached out to his entourage as they look to prise him away from AS Monaco.

On the back of an impressive season with FC Metz’s first team, the French giants signed the Senegalese international last summer. In his debut campaign for Monaco, Camara was involved in a total of 40 matches, and he even ended up contributing towards nine goals.

While he prefers playing as a central midfielder, he was equally effective in a defensive role. His consistent performances haven’t gone unnoticed, and multiple top clubs from across Europe want to sign him.

Crystal Palace pushing to sign Camara

Crystal Palace from England are quite keen on adding him to their squad. Oliver Glasner is desperate to add more depth and quality to his midfield and considers the versatile Camara an ideal fit for his system.

The Eagles are quite serious about signing the 21-year-old, and they have already contacted his agents as they look to learn more about a potential move. They are willing to offer him a long-term deal to convince him to make the jump to England.

While the London club are doing everything in their power to sign him, the Eagles could still face an uphill battle due to the fierce competition for his signature and the fact that he is under contract at Monaco until 2029.

Camara is open to joining a top European side but wants assurances over regular game time. Crystal Palace have built a reputation for giving young talents the platform to shine, and a move to Selhurst Park could work in his favour. However, much will hinge on Monaco’s stance, the level of interest from other clubs, and the financial aspects involved.
