Thomas Frank really keen on Eberechi Eze transfer

Thomas Frank is keen to bring Eberechi Eze to kick start his reign at Tottenham, as there’s competition in place for the Crystal Palace star.

According to TBR, Thomas Frank reportedly wants to bring Eberechi Eze this summer to kickstart his Tottenham reign. The new Spurs boss is eager to add game-changers to his side, as he views the Crystal Palace star are one of those players, although there’s intense competition in place for the England international.

Tottenham are making plans in this transfer window, as Thomas Frank will get his chance to lay the marker and build a squad to his specifications. There are some key areas for Spurs to focus on in this window, with the club eager to bolster their attacking setup by bringing in key signings.

One of the areas of concern is the left side of the attack, where Son Heung-min is expected to leave. They may have agreed on a permanent deal for Mathys Tel, but that may not be enough to extract results in the present climate.

Hence, the likes of Eberechi Eze become a key target for Tottenham, as new boss Frank wants the Crystal Palace star. The England international has a reported release clause worth £60 million that could rise to £68 million depending on various factors, as Tottenham could ponder making a move.

Eze is expected to leave Palace for a bigger club despite the Eagles winning the FA Cup and qualifying for the Europa League next season. Tottenham are already planning on making a move and might even open the doors for a player-plus-cash deal if that pleases Palace and helps ease a deal.

Tottenham faces Eberechi Eze competition

Tottenham are aware of the competition that their interest in Eze is likely to attract. The report clearly states that Aston Villa and Arsenal could enter the race, with the latter being the club where the £60m-rated PL playmaker spent time as a youngster.

Tottenham are also looking at alternative targets to Eze in the background, with Antoine Semenyo one of those, while there are links to Xaxi Simons of RB Leipzig. However, The £60m-rated PL playmaker is seemingly seen as a priority target over other names, as he’s also a player that Spurs have been chasing for a long time.
