Official | Rémy Cabella joins Nantes on loan

Nantes have announced the loan signing of Olympiacos attacking midfielder Rémy Cabella (35). The former Marseille and Newcastle United player already trained with his new teammates earlier in the week. Cabella’s arrival has been made official today, the first day of the 2026 winter transfer window. Nantes are expected to be one of the most active Ligue 1 club this month given Les Canaris are in disarray on the pitch. Nantes are 17th in Ligue 1 and level on points with bottom-placed Metz. 

Nantes were expected to sign experienced players to bolster Ahmed Kantari’s options, and Cabella will be the first of them. Cabella joined Olympiacos on a two-year deal last summer upon the expiry of his Lille OSC contract. Unfortunately, the France international has found game time limited in Greece. He only featured ten times for the Greek side. Cabella will wear the No. 20 jersey for Nantes.
