FC Nantes have signed Bochum defensive midfielder Ibrahima Sissoko (28), both clubs have announced. Les Canaris have reportedly agreed to a €2m transfer fee with the 2. Bundesliga side. Talks had begun back in December but had been put on standby while Mali’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign was ongoing.

Un nouveau chapitre à écrire.
Bienvenue à Nantes, Ibrahima Sissoko🏠
Sissoko is making a return to Ligue 1 football after spending five full seasons with RC Strasbourg Alsace. The Malian international midfielder has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Nantes. Les Canaris have already secured two signings recently – Lens’ Deiver Machado and Olympiacos’ Rémy Cabella – as they needed to bolster Ahmed Kantari’s options and save the club from a Ligue 2 relegation.
