Kurt Zouma (31) is reportedly set to join Chinese club Shandong Taishan FC, according to Foot Mercato.
The Frenchman, who has been a free agent since terminating his contract with Romanian club CFR Cluj, has reached an agreement with the current fifth-placed team in the Chinese Super League to sign a one-year contract. An option to renew for an additional season has allegedly been negotiated as part of the deal.
Having come through the ranks at AS Saint-Étienne, Zouma made a name for himself in England, where he played for Chelsea, Stoke City, Everton and West Ham United, winning numerous trophies. A French international with 11 caps (one goal), the Lyon native also had a spell in Saudi Arabia with Al-Orobah, whom he represented during the 2024/25 season on loan from the Hammers.
Having left the East London club as a free agent, Zouma flew to Romania, where his spell quickly came to an end due to non-payment by his club, Cluj.
