Bournemouth set to open Eli Junior Kroupi talks amid emerging links

Bournemouth are ready to open talks over a new deal for Eli Junior Kroupi amid rising interest from Premier League heavyweights.

According to Team Talk, Bournemouth are set to open talks with talented attacker Eli Junior Kroupi in a bid to ward off suitors. The Cherries are aware of the growing interest in the 19-year-old, but should they manage to tie him down on fresh terms, the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United might suffer a big blow.

Bournemouth have been one of the shrewd operators in the transfer market over the last few years. ON one hand, they have consistently lost some of their best performers to bigger clubs, but the club have managed to bring in fresh talent and develop them into top-class talents.

The presence of Spanish coach Andoni Iraola is a big plus point for the Cherries in their quest to develop top talent. For instance, they lost a host of their key defenders back in the summer, but have not looked any inferior with the replacements coming in. The same could be said about their loss of Antoine Semenyo in the January window, but there’s barely any drop off in their overall attacking quality.

One player that has thrived when given a chance is Eli Junior Kroupi, who also represents one of the young players the club have invested in when no one else was taking notice. Signed from Lorient back in the January window of 2025, the attacker only arrived in the summer and has since scored 8 goals in the Premier League this season.

Kroupi’s rise in stature has already seen some of the big clubs showing interest, including Chelsea and Liverpool, while Manchester United are also keen. The idea of signing a 19-year-old would seem like a shrewd investment by those clubs, as Bournemouth have already reportedly sounded out an £80 million price tag.

Bournemouth to extend Kroupi’s contract?

Bournemouth are aware of the growing interest, as Arsenal and PSG are also keen, so the player may not have a shortage of suitors come the summer. The Cherries are not keen on losing him just yet, as the rea now set to open talks with the £80m-rated PL prodigy over a new deal, which could see Kroupi nearly double his current wages.

The new deal might come with a release clause, which may reflect how much Bournemouth values him in the current market. In the past, many of their key stars have signed on improved contracts, and that might be the case with Kroupi, as a potential release clause might allow the player to move on with ease if a big club shows serious interest in the future.
