Fenerbahçe are in the process of wrapping up the signing of Marseille striker Mason Greenwood (24), according to RMC Sport. The former Manchester United Academy graduate will Les Phocéens after spending the last two seasons in Southern France. Greenwood has logged 48 goals and 17 assists in 81 games with Marseille, who signed him from Manchester United two years ago.
Marseille previously slapped a €50m price tag on Greenwood. RMC Sport understands that they have reached an agreement over a €40m transfer fee plus bonuses. Fenerbahçe pushed for Greenwood’s signing and the latter has greenlit the move, despite reported interest from more established European clubs such as AS Roma or Atlético de Madrid.
The Turkish Süper Lig giants have reportedly initiated parallel talks with United, who are set to receive 40% of Greenwood’s transfer fee. Greenwood will then sign a four-year deal on the basis of a €10m per year salary
