Lille OSC have wrapped up the signing of Paraguay international goalkeeper Orlando Gill (26) from Argentinean side San Lorenzo, according to L’Equipe. The 26-year-old Gill is expected to put pen to paper over a five-year deal with Davide Ancelotti’s Les Dogues. Lille were on the market for a goalkeeper as Berke Özer did not make a lasting impression for his debut season at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
L’Equipe reports that Lille OSC and San Lorenzo reached a €4m agreement to sign Gill. The goalkeeper rose to prominence this summer in impressing for his home country during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with a resolute Paraguay side eventually bowing out to France in the last-16 round. Gill could make his Lille debut next week on Friday at home against back-to-back UEFA Champions League winners PSG.
