Manchester City reach full agreement with Lille for Ayyoub Bouaddi

According to a report from RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Manchester City have reached an agreement with Lille OSC for Ayyoub Bouaddi (18). The teenager has been in the sights of the Premier League side throughout this summer as they look for a replacement for long-term servant Rodri, who left for Barcelona in a €76m deal.

Bouaddi, who was set to be included in Lille’s matchday squad for their opening game against Angers SCO later this afternoon, will understandably no longer play a part in the match. Hawkins writes that the deal for Bouaddi will be worth €100m, including add-ons, making him Lille’s record sale and beating the €80m Arsenal spent on Nicolas Pépé in 2019.

Born in France and representing the nation’s youth team in various age brackets, Bouaddi became a Morocco international this year and was one of the stars of the 2026 World Cup.
