Chelsea willing to offer €30 million for Nico Paz

Chelsea are ready to fork out €30 million to sign Tottenham and Real Madrid target Nico Paz this summer.

According to a report from Fichajes, Chelsea are willing to go all out to sign Nico Paz. The Blues have reignited their interest in the Argentine attacking midfielder. They have been keeping a close eye on his performances in Italy and are willing to table an offer worth €30 million to win the race for his signature.

Paz came up the ranks at Real Madrid and he did make quite a name for himself on his way up. He even featured in a handful of games for their senior team. While he was ready to make the jump into their senior side, he wasn’t part of Carlo Ancelotti’s first-team plans, with the manager already having a jam-packed attacking lineup.

As a result, Los Blancos sanctioned his departure last summer. The 20-year-old made the move to Como in search of a prominent role to continue his development as a player. The move has certainly worked out in his favour.

He has been a regular feature for them in the Serie A. Paz has featured in 32 matches and has contributed towards 13 goals. While he prefers playing as a number ten, he has featured in a deeper role, on the right flank as well as number nine.

His consistent performances, versatility and his massive potential have put him on the radar of multiple top clubs. Chelsea are one of the Premier League clubs that wants to sign the 20-year-old, who has shown maturity beyond his age,

They believe he can have an instant impact on their team and could help add more creativity to Enzo Maresca’s team. The Blues have been following him for a while now and he is back on their radar for the summer transfer window.

Chelsea could face competition for Paz

They are ready to offer him a key role in their team and are ready to put forward an offer worth €30 million to strike a deal with Como. But they could face competition from rivals Tottenham, who have also been keeping a close eye on him.

They see him as an ideal fit for their project, someone who can compete with James Maddison for a place in the starting XI. While Spurs are keen, the Blues remain confident as they have an advantage thanks to their massive financial strength.

Meanwhile, his former club Real Madrid still have significant control over his future as they have an affordable buy-back clause. They could look to trigger it this summer to either make him a part of their squad or resell him for a higher fee.
