Sean Longstaff has been a dependable performer since breaking into the first-team squad at Newcastle United. The Englishman spent most of his formative years with the Tyneside outfit after joining the Premier League club as a six-year-old in 2003.
The 27-year-old broke into the first-team squad at Newcastle United at the onset of the 2018/19 season. Since then, Longstaff has come leaps and bounds, although he has struggled for regular game time, as Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali, and Joelinton are ahead of him in the pecking order.
The English midfielder has turned out over 200 times thus far for Newcastle United while chipping in with 16 goals and 11 assists. However, Longstaff faces an uncertain future at St. James’ Park after entering the final 15 months of his contract.
