Chelsea offer a long-term contract to Emanuel Emegha

Chelsea have already offered a long-term contract for Emanuel Emegha, as they aim to agree on a deal with sister club Strasbourg for the striker to arrive in 2026.

According to VI, Chelsea aims to close a deal with Strasbourg for Emanuel Emegha. The Blues have already offered a long-term contract for the striker, and are hopeful of agreeing a deal with their sister club to ensure the striker arrives in the summer of 2026.

There’s been a lot of chatter surrounding Emanuel Emegha following a stellar season in France with Strasbourg. The striker scored 14 times in Ligue 1 this season, which could potentially attract a lot of attention to him, especially in a market where clubs are thirsty for centre-forwards.

Emegha has a lot of interest from some of the Premier League teams including Everton, Fulham and West Ham United. The demand for the striker has gone up exponentially following performances for Strasbourg as Crystal Palace are also in the mix to sign him.

Chelsea, however, may have the upper hand as their owners also own Strasbourg. The two clubs have had dealings in the past between buying players and sending players on loan to help with their development. Chelsea views Emegha as someone who has been developing well with the French side and have already initiated discussions to sign him.

Todd Boehly is taking a personal interest in the 22-year-old Ligue 1 striker, as he is pushing to get the deal done. Chelsea are open to letting Emegha stay at Strasbourg for another season and continue with this development there which could allow the forward to have a better chance of becoming an important player at Stamford Bridge next year.

Chelsea have offered Emanuel Emegha a long-term deal

To accelerate the deal, Chelsea have already offered Emegha a long-term contract until 2031. Such a length is in line with many of the many of the contracts that current Chelsea players hold. Whether that is enough to tempt the forward into making the move remains to be seen, although moving to Stamford Bridge could be a big deal for the forward.

For now, he’s still a Strasbourg player, as Chelsea are indeed seen as the favourites to land the 22-year-old Ligue 1 striker. The details on the expected fee remain under wraps at the moment, although with a lot of scrutiny between two clubs under the same ownership doing business with each other, the fee might be in line with Emegha’s market value.
