According to TBR, the likes of Crystal Palace, Tottenham and Newcastle United have been given a boost in the pursuit of Fikayo Tomori. The defender is now expected to leave AC Milan, with the Rossoneri making their decision as they are willing to cash in on the centre-back.
Fikayo Tomori could end his time in Italy and make a return to the Premier League in the summer. The defender has had a decent time with AC Milan since joining the club in 2021 from Chelsea. He has had a hand in winning a single Serie A title with the Rossoneri, although his stocks with the club have plummetted of late.
Tomori had Premier League interest back in January but chose to stay at AC Milan then. However, the Rossoneri are now willing to cash in on the defender following a dismal season, as the club are preparing for a revamp of sorts with their squad, with many players expected to leave.
Newcastle United are interested ahead of the summer, as Eddie Howe wants a new defender in his squad as the club have returned to the Champions League. They might be chasing Marc Guehi on priority and could view the 27-year-old Serie A defender as a contingent option.
Incidentally, Crystal Palace are also interested in Tomori, as they might be planning on replacing Guehi, who is ready to leave the Selhurst Park side. Whether they stand a chance over the other suitors in this chase for the 27-year-old Serie A defender remains to be seen, as Tottenham are also part of the equation.
Tottenham are also keen on Tomori, as they are likely to be pushed into the market for a new centre-back. There’s the possibility of Cristian Romero leaving the club, which does open the door for a new defender even though they are poised to make Kevin Danso’s loan move permanent.
As for Milan, they are willing to reduce his asking price as per a recent report, as they do not consider the 27-year-old Serie A defender as a key part of their plans going forward. Hence, Tomori could be bound for the Premier League, as he looks to take up a new challenge that suits his career.
