Manchester United line up surprise move for Justin Kluivert

Manchester United are monitoring Justin Kluivert as a potential option to improve their attack and face plenty of big competition for the Dutchman.

According to Caught Offside, Justin Kluivert is being considered as a potential target by Manchester United. Ruben Amorim wants to add more to his attacking setup during the summer, as the Red Devils face big competition for the Bournemouth star as the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle United remain interested in the Dutchman.

Bournemouth had yet another fantastic season under Andoni Iraola, with the Spaniard once again proving his worth as a coach by developing the existing players. The Cherries are already starring at the prospect of losing many of their top performers, and now Justin Kluivert could be added to that list.

The Dutchman scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in the Premier League last season from an attacking midfield role. Kluivert can also play on either wing, as his versatility in any of the frontline positions could be instrumental for many of the interested sides.

Manchester United are among those keen, with the Red Devils now seriously monitoring his situation. Bournemouth have reportedly slapped a 50-55 million price tag on the 26-year-old, as they do not want to lose their top talents on the cheap.

Manchester United have already confirmed the signing of Matheus Cunha, while Bryan Mbeumo remains a firm target despite Tottenham showing massive interest in the Brentford star. There is a distinct possibility that Ruben Amorim’s side could be looking at Kluivert as a potential alternative to Mbeumo, although there’s also the chance they might want him as a separate addition altogether.

Manchester United face competition for Justin Kluivert

Manchester United are not alone in the race for the 12-goal Premier League attacker, as Newcastle United are also seen as suitors. The Magpies are in the market for a versatile attacker with a goal threat, as Kluivert fits that mould well. They are equipped to pay big for this said attacker, meaning they might not back away from Bournemouth’s demands.

Liverpool are also looking at him, although the upcoming arrival of Florian Wirtz could see the Merseysiders cool their interest in the 12-goal Premier League attacker. However, Spurs are seen as one of the contenders for Kluivert, especially if they fail to lure in Mbeumo, although the Dutchman could be seen as an addition to compete with the likes of James Maddison in a season where Spurs will play in the Champions League.
