AS Saint-Étienne have secured their first transfer of the summer window with the arrival of Mahmoud Jaber (25) from Maccabi Haifa. The defensive midfielder joins with the key aim of helping Les Verts return to the top flight, after they were relegated from Ligue 1 at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
Saint-Étienne will be hopeful that Jaber will help strengthen a position that looks as if it will become weakened with departures over the summer transfer window. Pierre Ekwah (23) is expected to return to his parent club, Sunderland, with Saint-Étienne yet to exercise their option to make his move permanent. Furthermore, Louis Mouton (23) is also likely to leave with his contract coming to a close at the end of the month.
