Journalist Gerard Romero asked Marcus Rashford whether he would like to play alongside Lamine Yamal, to which the Manchester United forward delivered a positive response.
Rashford said: “Yes, for sure. Everyone wants to play with the best. Hopefully… we’ll see.”
It will be interesting to see if Barcelona end up signing him this summer. He does not have a future at Manchester United, and a move to Barcelona could be ideal for him.
He will want to compete at the highest level, and the Spanish champions could provide him with the platform to fight for major trophies. Meanwhile, Barcelona need someone like him who can slot into multiple attacking roles and contribute with goals and creativity. He could be the ideal acquisition for them for the right price.
It will be interesting to see if Barcelona can agree on a reasonable deal with Manchester United for the player.
Rashford has previously shown his ability in England, and there is no doubt that he has the quality to play for Barcelona. However, he will need to regain his form and confidence.
He did reasonably well during his loan spell at Aston Villa during the second half of last season. Moving to Barcelona might be able to bring out the best in him.
Barcelona will be disappointed with the way they exited the UEFA Champions League last season. They will feel that a couple of quality additions could help them go all the way in the European competition next year. Rashford could be a very useful squad player for them.
They should look to do everything in their power to get the deal across the line.
There have been rumours that Aston Villa could look to sign the player permanently as well. However, it is highly unlikely that the player will choose Aston Villa over Barcelona.
