Chelsea line up new offer to sign Mike Maignan

Chelsea are interested in signing AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, and they have been linked with him for several weeks.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Chelsea are ready to submit an improved offer for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan after failing to sign him before the FIFA Club World Cup began.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper is entering the final year of his contract, and he will be able to move on as a free agent next summer. Milan will not want to lose a world-class player like him on a free transfer. It would make sense for them to sell him for a reasonable amount of money now.

It remains to be seen whether they are prepared to accept the offer from Chelsea when it is presented.

Chelsea need a quality goalkeeper this summer, and signing the French international would be a wise decision. He is certainly one of the best in his position, and he could improve Chelsea immensely.

The Blues signed Robert Sanchez from Brighton, but he has not been able to impress with his performances. He has been quite error-prone, and Chelsea need an upgrade if they want to fight for major trophies.

The French international would be an upgrade on the Spanish goalkeeper.

Maignan would be a solid addition

Meanwhile, Maignan has won the league title in France and Italy. Chelsea will hope that he can guide them to a league title in England as well if the transfer goes through.
