VI are reporting that ADO Den Haag are set to appoint John van den Brom as their head coach for the 2025/2026 campaign. Van den Brom was head coach at Vitesse last season but, given their uncertain future, he now looks set to take over at Den Haag. Last season the side finished fourth in the Dutch second tier but ended up losing to Telstar in the play-offs. Telstar then shocked Dutch football by going on to win promotion to the Eredivisie.
This would be van den Brom’s second stint as head coach of the side and a reversal from his last time at the club. After the 2010/2011 campaign, the Dutch head coach moved from ADO Den Haag to Vitesse. He has since had spells with Anderlecht, AZ, FC Utrecht, Genk, Al-Taawoun and Lech Poznan. He left Poland in December of 2023 and took over at Vitesse at the start of last season. In 2012/2013 he won the Belgian Pro League with Anderlecht. With Genk, the head coach won the Belgian Cup during the 2020/2021 campaign.
