Randal Kolo Muani wants to extend Juventus stay amid Chelsea, Tottenham links

Chelsea and Tottenham have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani, who is keen on extending his stay at Juventus.

Chelsea and Tottenham are both interested in signing Randal Kolo Muani. Both English clubs want to add a new striker to their squad ahead of next season, and the PSG striker is quite high on their wishlist.

But according to Graeme Bailey via TBR Football, both London clubs have suffered a blow in their pursuit of the French striker as he prefers to continue at Juventus after having an impressive loan spell at the Turin-based club.

While speaking to TBR, their chief correspondent said, “Kolo Muani wants to stay in Italy – that is the word coming from his people at this point, even with the approach from Chelsea and interest from elsewhere. I am told he knows Dusan Vlahovic is going, so he is likely to be the main man in Turin and that appeals to him.”

Randal Kolo Muani made a name for himself while playing for Eintracht Frankfurt. On the back of his impressive performances, PSG forked out £77 million to sign him in the summer of 2023. Unfortunately, the move did not work out.

The Frenchman was not an important part of Luis Enrique’s plans; as a result, they ended up sending him out on loan to Juventus at the start of the year. He has revived himself following the move to Turin. Kolo Muani has featured in a total of 21 matches and has contributed towards 13 goals.

The French giants have agreed to extend his loan spell to allow him to feature in the Club World Cup for the Serie A club. Kolo Muani’s impressive performances over the last six months have put him on the radar of Chelsea and Tottenham, who want a new number nine.

Premier League giants hit a roadblock

While Nicolas Jackson did a decent job for the Blues last season, Enzo Maresca wants another top-quality option in the final third, and Randal Kolo Muani is quite high on their wishlist. They have already approached PSG to learn about the availability of the 26-year-old.

Meanwhile, Tottenham wanted to sign him in the winter, and they still retain interest in his services. However, both London clubs have suffered a blow as Kolo Muani does not intend on moving to the Premier League. He wants to continue at Juventus. With Dusan Vlahovic expected to be on the move, he feels he could be the main man at the Italian club.

While the Serie A club do want to retain his services, they prefer another loan deal. But with PSG looking to sanction his departure outright, things could get complicated, and the door for a move to the Premier League could open.
