Fulham eyeing Oliver Braude as Kenny Tete replacement

Fulham will reportedly look to sign 21-year-old Norwegian right-back Oliver Braude from Eredivisie club Heerenveen in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, Oliver Braude is the subject of interest from Fulham. The Cottagers have been combing the market for a right-back heading into the summer transfer window as they prepare for Kenny Tete’s departure as a free agent. So, the 21-year-old Heerenveen wide player has emerged as a target for the West London club.

However, the Villans are not the only club pursuing Braude’s signature, with Aston Villa, Everton, Bournemouth, and West Ham United also keen on signing him in the summer transfer window. The youngster will be a cut-price option for his suitors this summer.

Who is Oliver Braude?

Oliver Braude has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Eredivisie since breaking into the first-team squad at SC Heerenveen. A native of Oslo, the 21-year-old spent most of his formative years in his homeland, passing through the academies at Stabaek IF and Valerenga before moving to the Netherlands in 2021.

The Norwegian youth international has turned out over 50 times thus far for Heerenveen while chipping in with five assists. Meanwhile, Braude’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. A move to the Premier League may be on the cards, with Fulham and West Ham United vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

London calling?

Fulham’s interest in Oliver Braude is understandable. The Cottagers are keen on reinforcing their defensive unit by signing a right-back in the summer transfer window as they prepare to see Kenny Tete join Everton in a Bosman move. So, the West London club must sign a new right-back, with Braude emerging as a viable target.

As for West Ham United, Vladimir Coufal is leaving the East London club as a free agent. So, the Hammers are combing the market for a right-back, with several candidates, including Raoul Bellanova, emerging on their radar. However, Braude is also a viable target for West Ham.

Apart from Fulham and West Ham United, Aston Villa, Everton, and Bournemouth are also keen on signing the 21-year-old Norwegian full-back. So, it will be interesting to see where Braude plies his trade in the 2025/26 season.
