According to The Sun, Jack Grealihs is ready to consider his future at Manchester City and make a move away from the club in the summer. The attacker’s high wages and a potentially high asking price could make any prospective deal tricky, as the England international is ready to bide his time before deciding on his next move which may frustrate the likes of Everton and Newcastle United.
Jack Grealish is clearly out of Pep Guardiola’s plans going forward despite the heavy investment made by the club over the years on the player. The former Aston Villa star cost over £100 million, to date is Manchester City’s record signing, and earns a reported wage package of £15 million per year.
The salary he draws makes a switch away from the Etihad all the more complicated as interested clubs would also anticipate a high asking price for the £100m Manchester City flop. There are a few clubs interested and Napoli are one of those keen.
Everton and Newcastle United are also in the mix should the attacker become available in the market. Both those Premier League clubs could offer different possibilities for the player who is keen to have regular action on the pitch, unlike his current situation at Manchester City where he was omitted from the Club World Cup squad.
He was reportedly open to joining Everton, however, the financial aspects of the deal will dictate the Toffees’ prospects of landing the £100m Manchester City flop. Newcastle United might be in a similar boat, with previous reports suggesting they are only angling for a loan move for Grealish.
Grealish might be open to the prospect of leaving Manchester City, but he may need to make the right decision rather than a quick one. A place in the England squad is at stake for the attacker, as Thomas Tuchel has asked the forward to play regular minutes. Will he get those at Everton and Newcastle United is the question, as the answer might be yes.
However, Grealish could frustrate Everton and Newcastle United in their pursuit, as the £100m Manchester City flop is ready to wait before making any firm decision. Hence, a deal for Grealish could drag until the latter stages of the window despite his chances of exiting the Etihad are currently high.
