Tottenham learn Mohammed Kudus price after agent talks

Thomas Frank’s Tottenham Hotspur will have to fork out £60 million to sign West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus.

According to a report from the Guardian, Tottenham have identified Mohammed Kudus as a top target for the ongoing transfer window. Thomas Frank is keen on more firepower in the final third, and the West Ham mainstay can certainly help their cause.

Kudus made a name for himself at Ajax, and on the back of his impressive performances, the Hammers forked out £37 million to sign him back in 2023. He had a sensational debut campaign but struggled to produce the desired results until Julen Lopetegui last season.

While the 24-year-old can certainly prove to be a valuable player under Graham Potter, the London club could actually sanction his departure this summer to ease some of the financial pressure.

The Hammers are looking to rebuild their squad this summer, but in order to do that without breaching the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability regulations, they will have to raise significant funds.

They could cash in on Kudus, given his best position is on the right flank, where they already have their skipper, Jarrod Bowen. While his contract runs until the summer of 2028, there is an £85 million release clause in his contract for Premier League clubs, which will be active for the first 10 days of July.

Spurs making moves to sign Kudus

Tottenham are one of the clubs that are very keen on signing him. While they certainly won’t want to fork out that big a fee, the report suggests the Hammers could let him leave for an offer worth around £60 million.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Kudus is very high on the North London club’s wishlist for the summer, and they have already held talks with his agents. While they have only had initial talks and there is a lot of competition for his signature, the player is open to a move to Spurs, which is a massive boost for them.

Thomas Frank is keen on having more quality in the final third. While the manager was keen on reuniting with Bryan Mbeumo, he looks likely to join Manchester United. As a result, they could put all their focus on Kudus.

However, a deal certainly won’t be that straightforward as both clubs do not have the best of relations. If the move does go through, he will be the first West Ham player to join Spurs since Scott Parker in 2011.
