Arsenal set to submit fresh offer for Cristhian Mosquera

Arsenal set for a fresh bid to convince Valencia to sell Cristhian Mosquera, with the new offer likely to be in the €20-25 million region.

According to Superdeporte via Sport Witness, Arsenal are expected to make a fresh bid to sign Cristhian Mosquera after Valencia rejected the opening offer. The defender already has a broad agreement on personal terms with the Gunners as he seems destined to join the Premier League giants despite the Spanish giants trying to keep hold of him.

Valencia have a fight on their hands to keep hold of promising defender Cristhian Mosquera amid Arsenal’s interest. The 20-year-old is into the final year of his deal, with the Gunners sniffing around with intent to get a deal done with the Spanish side.

Valencia are making efforts to tie him down to a new deal having held talks with Mosquera’s agent. However, there has been nothing on that front since, as they wait on new CEO Ron Gourlay to begin working with the club. As things stand, an effort to keep hold of the defender might feel a little too late as Arsenal are advanced in their pursuit of the player.

Arsenal opened talks with Valencia for the defender but saw their opening bid rejected which was believed to be in the region of €14 million. The Spanish side had always wanted €20 million or more for the player, something the Gunners are not opposed to paying.

Mosquera already has an agreement on personal terms with Arsenal, which will indicate the Gunners are well ahead in the race. It might be a matter of time before they get the 21-year-old Spanish prodigy for the right price, as a new offer is in the works.

Arsenal to make new bid for Cristhian Mosquera

Arsenal are aware of Valencia’s demands for the player and are willing to make a new bid around the €20-25 million figure. The new offer is expected in the coming days, as the Gunners then expect to get a deal done with the Spanish side, who might agree to accept the new proposal.

Mosquera has seemingly set his heart on a move to Arsenal, where he will face competition from the likes of William Saliba. Despite the challenging prospects ahead, the 21-year-old Spanish prodigy is willing to test himself at a big club where he might not play regularly compared to Valencia or probably some other team.
