According to Fichajes, Atalanta attacker Ademola Lookman has multiple suitors from the Premier League ahead of the summer. Aston Villa and Tottenham are in the mix alongside Nottingham Forest, with the Serie A giants demanding a fee between €45-60 million for the 27-year-old attacker.
Ademola Lookman could emerge as a big market opportunity for clubs in the Premier League. The Nigerian international has had another productive season at Atalanta, contributing to 27 goals across all competitions for the Bergamo side.
He has been open to leaving Atalanta this summer, with clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool showing interest previously. There are considerable doubts whether the Nigerian international is still part of their thinking, as the 27 G/A Serie A attacker now has different suitors.
Nottingham Forest held an interest back in March, and they could pursue Ademola Lookman amid uncertainties over the future of Anthony Elanga. While the two players play on opposite flanks, there is the element of Lookman’s versatility that may do the trick. Atalanta want a fee in the region of €45-60 million for the attacker, which may seem reasonable enough given the quality the player brings to the table.
Aston Villa are also keen on bolstering their attack and are named in the report as one of the key suitors for Lookman. Unai Emery’s side are chasing a versatile attacker with links to Semih Kilicsoy, although the experience that Lookman brings in will be viewed with a favourable eye.
Tottenham are probably the most interesting suitor in the Lookman chase, as new boss Thomas Frank seems intent on reinforcing both flanks. Spurs have already had a bid rejected for Mohammed Kudus, and reports state the Ghanaian international wants to join them. While the West Ham star is not ideally suited for the left-hand side, he does operate heavily on the right.
As for the left wing, Son Heung-min’s time might come to an end soon, and Ademola Lookman could be the ideal replacement for the club skipper. Hence, the €45-60 million price might look ideal, whilst his profile could end up suiting Spurs in a big way this summer in their efforts to build the attack for Frank.
