Mohammed Kudus has heart set on joining Tottenham despite Chelsea links

Mohammed Kudus only wants to sign for Tottenham this summer amid links to other clubs, including Chelsea, as he wants to exit West Ham.

According to Football Insider, Mohammed Kudus is prioritising a move to Tottenham above everyone else in the queue. There’s considerable interest from rivals like Chelsea, while Bayern Munich have also seen the player turn down an approach, as he prefers Spurs, with an exit from West Ham beckoning.

Mohammed Kudus may have had an underwhelming season with West Ham, but that has not deterred his prospects of attracting massive interest. Reports are stating the Ghanaian is keen on leaving West Ham United, with the London side open to the idea of a sale to help bolster their squad.

Tottenham had opened negotiations for Kudus a while ago, although they are yet to find a breakthrough with West Ham. The attacker has an £85 million release clause, although the club are open to selling him for a lesser fee. Spurs have already seen numerous offers rejected by the Hammers so far, as a new bid seems imminent.

Spurs have been angling for moves for attackers this summer and have already failed to lure Bryan Mbeumo, who wants to join Manchester United. There are also fears of losing out on Eberechi Eze, with Arsenal seen as the current favourites. Tottenham are eager to bolster their wings, as the future of skipper Son Heung-min has been thrown into some doubt.

Kudus, with his ability to play across multiple positions in the attacking third, will certainly improve this Spurs side. Hence, the fans will be hoping for their club to swiftly agree a fee with West Ham to seal the transfer, as there are fears of a hijack from rivals.

Chelsea have no chance to sign Mohammed Kudus

Chelsea had been interested in Kudus and even saw a bid rejected earlier. The Blues have since reinforced their attacking setup with the likes of Jamie Gittens and Joan Pedro in addition to the signing of Liam Delap. They have stayed interested in Kudus despite a raft of signings, but they may not stand a chance, as Kudus has his preference.

Kudus even snubbed Bayern Munich as he has insisted that Spurs remain the preferred destination should he leave West Ham. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can swiftly agree a deal with the Hammers to get this signing over the line.
