Juma Bah’s (19) loan to OGC Nice has not gone to plan. The Sierra Leone international joined from Manchester City over the summer, following a six-month loan spell at RC Lens during the previous campaign.
At Lens, Bah began slowly, but by the end of the campaign, he looked more convincing. It was a slow start at Nice, too, but unlike at Lens, he has yet to hit his stride. As a result, L’Équipe understands that Bah’s loan with Le Gym could be cut short this January. That is despite there being no clause facilitating a termination without a fee.
The Daily Mail add that the player in question is on the lookout for a new opportunity amid his struggles at the Allianz Riviera. There are tentative approaches from Crystal Palace and Brentford on either a temporary or permanent basis. Manchester City believe that they could recoup more than the £5m that they initially spent on the defender.
