Fédération Supporters RCS have released a scathing statement following the departure of Strasbourg head coach Liam Rosenior to Chelsea FC. The 41-year-old has been poached mid-season to replace the departing Enzo Maresca, leaving the BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 club managerless for the time being. Free agent Gary O’Neil is expected to replace Rosenior in the dugout at La Meinau.

“Liam Rosenior’s transfer marks a furtherasse humiliating step in Racing’s subjugation to Chelsea,” read the release from Fédération Supporters RCS, a major RC Strasbourg fan group. The statement goes as far as saying that the future of French club football is at stake regarding the consequences of multi-club ownership in Ligue 1.
The group has also asked for club president Marc Keller to resign, given Rosenior’s switch to Stamford Bridge shows the minimal decision-making power that the former France international striker still holds in Strasbourg.
“Every additional contortion by Marc Keller, every extra minute he spends at the helm of the club, is an insult to the tremendous work done before 2023 (…). It’s time to leave. Now.“
Fédération Supporters RCS adds that it will coordinate closely with the three other active Strasbourg fans group in the fight against MCO to define the group’s next actions.
