Terem Moffi and Jérémie Boga take steps to terminate OGC Nice contracts

Terem Moffi and Jérémie Boga have not stepped on a pitch since a fan ambush on the OGC Nice team bus at the end of November. The two players were victims of insults, spits, and punches, they allege. Both have since been put on sick leave. They have now decided to leave the club, L’Équipe understands, and they have gone to the league in order to begin the procedure.

Since the incident, Boga and Moffi have been unable to return to first-team training. Their initial sick leave period was meant to last around one week, however, it has been repeatedly extended. The two Nice players have also opened legal proceedings against the alleged perpetrators of the violence on November 30th.

The players’ lawyers have now moved to see their contracts terminated, on the basis that the necessary measures to ensure their security were not taken by the club. A meeting with the league’s judicial commission will take place on Thursday. Boga’s and Moffi’s contracts run until the summer of 2027.
