The situation surrounding Fabián Ruiz (30) remains vague. The Spaniard has not featured for Paris Saint-Germain – or the Spain national team for that matter – since the end of January. The midfielder is suffering from a knee injury, although PSG’s medical report has never gone into specifics.
It was thought to be a minor injury, but nearly three months later and Ruiz has yet to feature. As per a report from L’Équipe, it is a situation that is starting to frustrate some at the club, even if Luis Enrique recently denied this in his press conference.
Scans done by the club have shown that there is no longer an issue with Ruiz’s knee. They believe that he is fit to play and that, whilst he couldn’t complete the 90 minutes against Toulouse FC over the weekend, he could have at least featured. However, he did not, and he is not fit to face Liverpool on Wednesday night.
The player has said that, so long as he feels pain (in the knee), he does not want to play, L’Équipe report. As soon as he feels the slightest pain, he does not even wish to train. It is a situation that is making some at PSG “unhappy”, the publication adds.
