Hoffenheim’s Bosnian Haris Tabaković on Lille’s radar

In search of offensive reinforcements, Lille OSC are reportedly interested in Haris Tabaković (31), according to Foot Mercato.

On loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach from TSG Hoffenheim, with whom he is under contract until June 2027, the Grenchen, Switzerland-born player is enjoying an impressive season, having scored 13 goals and provided three assists in 30 appearances across all competitions.

An experienced player whom Les Dogues‘ management might be tempted to bring to Ligue 1, having already played all over Europe during his rich career. And it is soon on a global stage that Tabaković is likely to make a name for himself, the imposing 6ft 5in centre-forward having helped Bosnia and Herzegovina qualify for the 2026 World Cup, scoring the equaliser that forced Italy into a penalty shoot-out which proved their undoing.

Should he sign for LOSC, the 31-year-old could thus provide a credible alternative to Olivier Giroud (39), whose future in the North is not yet assured.
